Synopsis

1954- Jack Valiant pursues Miss White in his latest case, but can’t help shake a nightmare, certain that clues in his dream are the key to solve it. He digs deeper, and uncovers a prostitution ring connected to prominent city officials. Jack, set up by the cartel, is out for revenge, but is chased to a rocky bluff by the police. He leaps into a lucid dream - 230 years in the future!

2184- Valiant, is taken prisoner by the Maverics, a commando unit at war with the sexy but deadly Fatals and their tyrannical queen, Aurora. The mercenaries wage war on womankind. Valiant trapped in a nightmare, ruled by these women must discover the truth, a task he learns, leads deep, into his very soul.

Tyler was an avid RPG gamer growing up. He caught the acting bug in his first year at college, played parts in community theatre. Longing to go pro, he trained in acting and directing at Methodica with Asen Gadjalov. Tyler now teaches acting in Victoria BC and has been producing and directing his own short films for 3 years. This is his first feature.

Clay Walker

Director, Writer

Clay has been an avid film buff since childhood, He's been working with cameras since he was a kid, and made lots of movies with his friends. Clay has been dreaming about this project for 7 years, when he met Tyler this past summer he knew they would bring it to life together. This is his first feature film!

Panta Mosleh

Marketing Strategist, Social Media

Panta Mosleh has been interested in acting since she was a kid. She studied acting professionally at UVic, JRP-Vancouver and New York Film Academy-Los Angeles. She has been producing and directing her own films for over a year. She met Tyler at CineVic, was recruited as an actress and then invited to join Transmission as a power trio member.

Really great costuming and makeup! Nice cinematography. Audio is a weakness. Despite that, I would like to see more. Intriguing idea / world that you've laid out here.

I've been through all your work and I am really torn about this project. Lets get the good stuff first. LOVE the plot concept. Very Twelve Monkeys. Love the idea of using the hypersexist film noir style and the Mad Max beyond Thunderdome as counterfoils. There isn't much in here from a production quality standpoint that I would want to change or that $1m couldn't help fix.

The makeup is frigging amazing. Queen Aurora and her coterie....man I could watch them all day. Very well done.

I am challenged with part of your vision though. I can't tell if you mean the movie to be a parody of film noir or just film noir. It comes off as half serious and half silly. If the movie took itself more seriously then it would be way higher on my ratings. The occasional nod to the fourth wall is pretty funny and can be compelling. Think Kevin Spacey in House of Card. However, it feels like a large chunk of the movie is playing to that idea.

This movie has huge potential and I do like the idea.

I wish the story was a bit clearer, and the sound for the dialogue seems off, but it seems like a sweet idea. A bit 'Inception,' a bit Film Noir.

Smack dab in the middle of the trailers I've seen. On the one hand, some very very good visuals and, at times, good performances; on the other hand, horrible audio (sorry) and mediocre editing. Still, a lot of potential!

Without the written explanation, I was very confused throughout the trailer about the plot of the film. The audio also could have been better. However, this seems like it could be a good idea for a film.

I was confused the whole time and the audio quality just threw me away from the story which seemed to lack emotions due to the actors skills. other than that the shooting venues were really nice and the costumes were excellent, but in the end the good barely out-ways the the errors in this trailer.

Just going by the trailer, and technical issues aside, I found it hard to follow and I didn't feel very invested in any of the characters or the situation. Would have liked more on the "how and why" of the story perhaps.

Visually arresting but half of what you see in a film you see through your ears; the audio for spoken dialogue sounds like it came from a camera's built-in mic.

This reminded me of a skit made by comedians. They sound serious in the beginning and its awkward feeling but then they start singing or something. You kind of stayed in that awkward feeling. Besides that I was kind of confused 80% of the time. Other than that your shots were awesome. Keep up the good work

Interesting piece guys! I like the vision you guys have created of this dystopian future where lawlessness prevails and these mercenaries reign supreme. Those chicks are total badass! A few of your sfx could have been a little tighter, and a few continuity errors, but I am sure with the right budget and more time all those minor issues could be easily corrected. Overall-very good guys! Hope you guys make the top 40. -TeamZone

And they say nothing ever happens in Victoria. I like this concept, the idea of it being from Victoria and some of the visuals are really great. But it seems to not communicate the plot clearly, and the acting seems off. Perhaps casting could improve that, if it becomes a budgeted production. There is a movie in the concept.

Awwww I was so excited about the 50s-esque detective story (it looked really good) - and then the weird makeup thing happened. You may want to switch up the future-dream-thing to something more realistic - the crossover didn't work for me

Why is the future always Road Warrior-esque? The world falls apart, so people wear more makeup? Anyway, nice concept, and cool execution. Sound is pretty dicey.

Transmission is one of the few trailers that kept me watching till the end. It kept me interested and I think its the original concept we need to see brought to the big screen!!
