Overview

Synopsis

BOB GLUM is a phenomenal locksmith. He's not much of a person but there's no security system he can't crack.
But Bob's motto of "never get involved" has earned him a life on the sidelines with no girlfriend, no buddies and a dog that even ignores him. Plus, with every call to free someone handcuffed to a bed, Bob realizes how dull his life really is.
After helping reclusive RUTH though, he decides to do more for all of his clients. Now he dispenses advice, gets involved and even offers to steal something for SHANIA, a mysterious, alluring client.
Unfortunately she's set him up and soon Bob is on the run from the mob, the police and desperately wants his old boring life back.

Your trailer redux version has moved the original CONCEPT trailer to a theatrical trailer. KUDOS to this team for hooking this viewer from the beginning....the missions have given me a clearer sense of the creativity of the team. Looking forward to seeing more!

The trailer didn't have any video footage at all. I'm concerned that this means your team wasn't organized enough to put a team of actors together in time. As for pitching a story it didn't really appeal to me.

Good luck in the competition.

This film has SOOO much potential. It's even cooler to know that the very origin of this story concept was birthed out of the CineCoup campaign. After watching Trailer Redux I can completely feel the tone of the film and it's genre. Lately in Hamilton there have been interviews and articles on the director and with his past experience I am certain that they can pull off a feature that would be ready for the big screen. Jeff Douglas was great in Trailer Redux and could carry the film.

Seems interesting, but I had a few concerns after watching this one.

On the positives first however, the general plot isn't hinted at very often in the trailer itself. And that's a good thing. Most trailers spell out exactly what the story will be about, taking some of the thrill away.

The still image shots were also a nice change, though everything still followed the ascending pace style storytelling most action films use. And on that, I couldn't really see this as a comedy film. Slice of life, maybe, but comedy? Not so much.

Beyond that, the plot, from what was shown in the trailer, doesn't seem to do anything really unique outside of the protag being a locksmith. If we see some of the normal, and bizarre, situations he gets himself into before the big event, that would be a nice change versus other films which just give the protag a job and that's it.

Overall, looks interesting and it got my attention.

This wasn't a trailer, it was a series of photographs with voiceover placed over it. The flashing pictures could be a good effect for an intense portion of a trailer, but it should not make up the entire thing. The trailer also doesn't add any knowledge about the movie itself, and I got the same amount of info that I got from reading the synopsis. This movie could be very good, I just have no way of knowing.

Great concept but would have loved to see some actual acting and camera work. It's hard to vote higher for this trailer without seeing some cinematography. We need to see what they envision, how they work with cast and crew, and how it all gets pulled together. Right now it is just a vision.

The soundtrack is great. It works and makes the trailer better.

I'm sure that I could be convinced to redo my vote if the producers were to find a way to showcase their other film work.

The decision to use stock photos doesn't really reveal any film making skills - how can you pull together a film without a trailer? The synopsis isn't clearly presented in the trailer either, and I worry that the mixed-up-in-the-mob comedy is a little tired. Nice photo treatments and Don LaFontaine voice, though.
