Synopsis

A young woman named Rose sets out on a quest for revenge after her lover and little sister are murdered by a man powered by an unimaginable evil. Tormented by the senseless death of her loved ones, Rose seeks out a family secret from her past that she hopes will give her answers to the terror she has witnessed. Her journey takes her to a remote town and the town’s “mad hermit”, Mr. Shine. Mr. Shine soon reveals that he is the teacher of an incredible power, and Rose undertakes a rigorous training regimen in hopes of finding her loved ones killer and destroying him. In the end, she is faced with the difficult decision of choosing between vengeance and a greater good.

A director/screenwriter/composer who co-directed and co-wrote The Corrupted, an independent horror film that was shown at the Edmonton and Calgary International Film Festivals.

He considers his influences to be modern masters such as Cronenberg, Kubrick, and Fincher.

JD Buzz

Social Media, Visual Effects Supervisor

JD Buzz is a special effects extraordinaire and is inspired by classic films such as Jaws, Metropolis, and Star Wars. JD also has done work as a camera operator and as a DOP on a number of short to feature length film projects.

Knighten Richman

Director, Social Media

Knighten has directed and written two feature films, as well as produced and directed numerous short films and music videos. Recently, he directed a television pilot "Nice Girls Do", and the web-series The Gym, which was picked up by Aggression TV in the United States. Knighten has enjoyed using social media to promote each of his projects.

Very well put together trailor, but I do not feel like it is a completely original story line. Seems kinda like a mix of all the big Hollywood productions, but still great effects used, especially while still on a low budget.

I would love to see you guys team up with the Autoscript writers. The concept is very cool and with their writing it could be a real gem.

Interesting title and logline, but the writing (especially the dialogue in the trailer) feels flat.
Special effects and some of the images are intriguing, but without better dialogue I would not watch this film (sorry).

Interesting . A little cheesy for me, the "teach me" part made me laugh. The actor was better than I suspected though. A bit heavy on the side effects and they weren't too realistic. Cool idea Good work

The writing in this trailer is pretty awkward. It makes what seems like a possibly interesting idea seem like its going to be handled badly. For instance, the guru decides to teach the young woman, not because she proves herself worthy or determined, but because she yells at him like a petulant child? Sorry, but that didn't work for me at all.

This looks like a more over the top version of The Gift. I feel that there are few redeeming qualities.

i love movies with superpowers! that alone would get me to watch this in the theater. I couldnt help but notice a striking resemblance between the bad guy and rob zombie.

I re-watched and re-rated and it's better then I initially thought. Your concept has a good story behind it. I think the poor acting and some visuals threw me off the first time but that's all things that can be changed and tweaked. It has good potential as long as you have a solid story.

There are bits of this that make me think it could be a really really cool film, but then some of the shooting and editing is quite poor I think and it takes away form the story, the basic concept is sound however.

It has some potential, but I found this trailer to be a little weak in the way that it was put together. Some scenes were a little too long. Just didn't wow me.

I felt like there was bland and emotionless acting. and the Horror genre doesn't really pose for sequels unless it's cheesy.

An interesting concept, but the trailer didn't sell me at all. Your leads came across as very flat. The man I understand, but the woman needs to be capable of showing depth as I imagine she's going through a lot. Instead she comes off as whiny.

You guys seem quite capable when it comes to visual effects. I just think you need to find a different project to showcase your talents.

I think you guys have a lot of skills and its cool that you wanted to show them off, but I felt like there were so many styles of visual effects which took away from the story. I wasn't too sure on the story line until I read the slugline. Good luck the next few weeks! Cool tricks

Not working for me - weak acting, chaotic beginning that's hard to interpret, too many things going on in this one. Simple is sometimes more powerful. Missed the mark for me.

This is another one that surprised me! Didn't think the trailer would be as good as it is! There's a clear story that this team wants to tell and they have some amazing VFX for what I imagine was a pretty tiny budget. I'd be very interested to see what they could do with a larger budget.

I rated this movie highly mainly on my enjoyment of the premise and future promise, however if anyone involved in this movie reads this, please fix your sound quality, the dub sync is atrocious currently and sounds very bad.
